Two nights lets you make the most of San Diego as well as the concert. Arrive earlier in the day, settle in, enjoy an early dinner in Little Italy, then take the beautiful 20–30 minute waterfront walk along the Embarcadero to the Shell for the show. Wake up the next morning with a full day to explore the city before flying out later that evening.

About the Rady Shell
The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park is San Diego’s premier outdoor concert venue — a stunning waterfront amphitheatre on the Embarcadero Marina, home to the San Diego Symphony and a year-round program of concerts spanning classical, jazz, Broadway, and major touring artists.
With capacity for up to 10,000 people and seating ranging from table sections right at the front to a relaxed lawn area at the back, it’s a venue that works for everyone. The skyline and bay views alone are worth the ticket.
A few things to know before you go:
- Gates open at 5:30pm for evening summer concerts — arrive early to explore the venue and grab food
- San Diego Bay evenings can be cooler than you expect — bring a light layer
- The walk from Little Italy to the Shell along the Embarcadero waterfront takes around 20–30 minutes and is one of the best parts of the evening
- Getting there is easy — walk from your hotel, take the MTS Green Line trolley to Convention Center Station, or drive and park nearby

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to already have concert tickets to book a package? Not at all. You can come to us with tickets already in hand and we’ll build everything else around your concert date — or we can source the tickets for you as part of the package. Either way works.
Can I book if I’m driving rather than flying into San Diego? Absolutely. Flights are not part of these packages — airport transfers are included for those flying into San Diego International Airport, but if you’re driving in, we simply adjust the package accordingly. Just let us know when you enquire.
Which hotel would suit me best? That depends on your budget, travel style, and how many nights you’re staying. When you get in touch we’ll ask a few questions and recommend the best fit. Little Italy puts you closest to the pre-show dinner and the waterfront walk to the Shell; downtown properties offer a wider range of options, whilst those a little more budget conscious can opt to stay in the Mission Valley Hotel Circle.
What if the concert I want is sold out? Get in touch anyway — we may be able to source tickets through authorised channels, and we can also put together a package around another show in the season that suits your dates.
Can I add tours or day activities to my package? Yes — tours and activities can be added to any package. The Shell & the City tier includes a full day activity as standard, and it can be added to the other tiers on request. Just mention it when you enquire.
Is trip protection included? Trip protection is available on all packages and strongly recommended, particularly as concert tickets are typically non-refundable. We’ll include the option when we put your package together.
Can I book as a solo traveller or for a larger group? Yes to both. Package prices shown are based on double occupancy — solo traveller and group rates are available on request.
What is the Pocket Travel app? Pocket Travel is the app where your full itinerary lives — hotel confirmations, concert tickets, dinner reservation, transfer details, flights if purchased and your welcome guide, all in one place on your phone. It also sends real-time notifications if there are any flight delays or changes so you’re never caught off guard.
